Successful design of your employee survey
Organisation of the survey – consistent focus on efficiency and transparency
A high degree of precision is required for planning, performing and evaluating an employee survey. Complex company structures should be taken into account; the participants are sometimes located throughout the whole world. In such cases questionnaires must be developed in a number of languages and with many content variations. They are also performed online as well as on paper questionnaires, depending on how many employees have access to a PC. It is not at all rare that our customers need a survey concept which takes account of all of these elements.
The value of the survey results is increased by combining topics which all employees alike are asked about with area or department-specific contents. To do this, every participant must be assigned to the company division in which he works.
We collect all of this information in our project management software and create on this basis a company organisation chart as an overview. A questionnaire is then generated automatically for every participant, reflecting where he belongs within the organisation. On this basis, we are able to invite all participants in an automated process to the employee survey and create the respective online and paper-based variants of the questionnaire. This structured procedure allows us to greatly speed up the preparation process for an employee survey.
The depiction of the company organisation chart also offers further advantages: certain positions can often change during the planning phase of an employee survey, such as areas of responsibility of the executives, assignment of company areas and sometimes even parts of the company structure. We can react very flexibly to such changes, using our software-assisted development of an organigram and ensure that the design of the survey reflects the current structure of the company at the beginning of the data collection.

“We also depict complex organisational structures technically as an organigram. This produces significant advantages in efficiency for the whole process of an employee survey – from organisation and data protection to report distribution."
