As a security expert, you contribute to making Tivian even more secure every day and drive forward the conceptual and strategic development of IT security management. Together with the teammates and the Privacy Counsel you are the driving force behind the Tivian IT Security Board, the cross-functional Tivian Security Team with managers from all relevant departments.
Responsibilities
• You work with cross-functional, international business and technology teams and support them in various security topics such as cloud computing, identity and access management, Kubernetes/Docker, DevSecOps
• You develop IT security concepts and continuously adapt them to the risk situation
• You establish secure logs to identify and eliminate potential threats
• You support product development in the early integration of security aspects into the design phase to eliminate risks
• You decide, review and update cybersecurity software
• You assess security breaches and take appropriate action
• You work with the ISMS already deployed, identifying assets, owners and reporting to the relevant stakeholders
In all tasks you will communicate with the IT departments and other stakeholders, including customers, managers and colleagues.

What you bring along
We are looking for a person with IT security-related training and the ability to think “outside the box” in order to promote permanent optimization in IT security. Ideally, you have knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and are willing to deepen your knowledge in cooperation with our legal department.
• Studies in computer science, business administration or a comparable qualification, e.g. B. IT specialist with a focus on IT security
• Knowledge of at least one of the standards of ISO 27001, CIS, NIST, BSI C5 or the BSI IT baseline protection framework
• Experience in risk management in information security
• Fluent in German and English, both orally and in writing, with the ability to convey complex content
Since we are internationally positioned and part of the corporate communication takes place in English, good communication skills in English are absolutely necessary. The place of work is either in Cologne or remotely or a combination of both.
