Hi Iselie. Thanks for taking the time out of your schedule to speak with us. We’re excited to learn more about you, but before we get into your career detail, could you share some personal thoughts, including who you would invite to dinner and why…

What or who has inspired you most in your life, and why?

A really good manager that I had a few years ago who always pushed me to be the best version I could be! She taught me never to give up and always give the best of me.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Aim always higher! Take opportunities whenever they come, and don’t forget to have fun along the ride.

What is/are the values you hold most dear to you?

Loyalty, resilience and honesty.

If you could be anyone else, who would you be and why?

I would continue to be myself. Not because I’m perfect (far from it) but because I know I’m unique and special in my own way!

“Be yourself, everyone else is already taken” Oscar Wilde

You can invite 1-4 people to dinner (dead or alive). Who would they be, and why?

  • The Pope, just to see him and feel the peace that he transmits.
  • My grandmother who died a few years ago – just to hug her one last time
  • Close family friends who have also died recently.

What is your go-to song when you want to feel happy, special?

I don’t have a “go-to” song‚ Anything that makes me dance (any Latin genre to be fair) gets me into a better mood!

Tell us about your background before joining Tivian.

I moved to Germany in 2015 to study for my MBA in Bremen. In 2016 I started working in market research and in the past 2 years, I have been leading international market research projects for different companies.

What does your role entail?

Talking and listening to people. Being a Project Manager requires me to always be on calls with everyone (not only clients but also the team, other departments, etc). I have to listen to everyone’s concerns and find a smart solution for any issue that comes up. I always try to find a win-win solution!

What does an average day in Project Management look like?

I work fully remotely so my day might be a bit different from most of my colleagues. However, I normally start my day with a nice cup of coffee while I read & respond to some emails. Meetings usually start around 9:30 am so I just sit on my desk and virtually move from one meeting room into another! When I have some free time (without any meetings) I draft many emails to ensure everything that has been discussed during the meetings is being communicated to the relevant parties!

What trends can you see happening in the industry this year?

The growth of AI in the Project Management field is creating a huge opportunity to make many of our processes more efficient. However, this would entail a new learning curve and time investment beyond what the exact role entails.

How does Tivian help businesses?

By providing solutions that help them understand their employees and improve their employee retention.

Before you go, please share one interesting fact about you (outside of work).

I am a big Harry Potter fan! My uncle gifted me the first book back in 2002 and ever since I’ve read all the books (I have even stood in line at midnight waiting for the new books to be released!!) and of course I’ve watched all the movies (plenty of times).
